SHEAR

This series takes visual reference from micro-stratigraphy and the actual behavior of metamorphic strata under extreme geological pressure.

The project is inspired by the shear deformation experienced by sedimentary rocks in nature. A real physical collision where the porous outer crust fractures, exposing the plastic transition and geometry of the hyper-compressed mineral layers within.

A crude record based on earth friction and the accidents of matter.
