Roy Nachum is an Israeli artist born in 1979 and graduated from Cooper Union School, New York and the Bezalel Academy in Israel. Roy thinks that art should be accessible to everyone, including people with visual disabilities. In his latest work combines painting with signage in Braille. His pieces are composed of poems in braille running through the canvas. On May 10, Roy Nachum released “Open Your Eyes” with Joseph Nahmad Contemporary at 450 West 14th, New York. The exhibition, which continues to explore issues of perception and vision, consists of paintings and an installation and is divided into four parts, Parallel Realities, Color Blind, Invisible Mirrors and Sea of Crowns.
