Huguette Despault is an artist from Avon, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts / Tufts University. She has completed the work of a spectacular series of drawings of mooring rope and is starting new projects. The series began with the serendipitous discovery of an abandoned hawser line (a rope used in mooring or towing a ship) during one of my earliest visits to New Bedford, Massachusetts.
