Greg Simkins is a surrealist painter born in 1975 in Torrance, California, just south of Los Angeles. He grew up alongside a collection of animals, including a number of rabbits, which often arise in his paintings. He began drawing at the tender age of three inspired by cartoons and various books. At 18 he began doing graffiti with the name “CRAOLA”. Graffiti art became his impetus for the creation and gave him the confidence to paint large works. In addition, he taught perspective, color theory and artistic skills developed, which later translate into his work with acrylics.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from the State University of Long Beach in California in 1999, Simkins worked as an illustrator for various clothing companies. He later moved to Treyarch / Activision where he worked on several video games including Tony Hawk 2X, Spiderman and Spiderman 2 Ultimate while attempting to paint with every free moment he had.

Since 2005 Simkins is a full time artist and his work has appeared in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
Among its list of clients include: Disney, Mattel, Upper Playground, Juxtapoz, To Die For, Vans, Converse, AFI, Saosin, Gym Class Heroes, Pennywise, STRANGEco, Ningyoushi, Kid Robot, Zero Friends, Epitaph, Dark Horse, Iron Fist and Pulse International.
